Transom On Windows

All transoms are 600mm High from the bottom of the window (aluminium) to the middle of the transom,
A transom is the horizontal divider found in some windows. 
They are normally placed on taller windows to strengthen and elevate the opening components so they are easily accessible off the floor. 
Above the transom we would normally have the openings while under the transom is usually Fixed (non opening). Transoms aid in the overall strength and performance of the EZ Windows® Residential Series aluminium Awning, Fixed & Sliding windows.
